BLEASS Spectral Resonator

Through advanced spectral processing, the BLEASS Spectral Resonator generates resonant harmonics from the input audio and provides deep control over their behavior and structure.

By transforming the audio into the spectral domain, the BLEASS Spectral Resonator can shift, blur, filter, and reconstruct the frequency content of any sound before generating resonances. When mixed with the original signal, this adds a layer of controllable pitch and timbre variations. When used in fully wet mode, it can produce rich and complex spectral textures.

Resonances can be generated by an internal four-voice timbre generator or triggered directly by incoming MIDI notes. The plugin supports up to eight voices, portamento, pitch bend, and up to 256 harmonics per voice, enabling the BLEASS Spectral Resonator to generate tunable harmonic resonances and evolving spectral textures via MIDI performance.

An intuitive control interface provides fine-tuning of the resonator's behavior, including parameters such as unison, detuning, harmonic stretching, density, damping, decay, and harmonic filtering. Harmonics can be restricted to even or odd sequences, while spectral shifting and blurring further reshape the final resonance effect.

The spectral domain filter allows selection of the frequency range used to excite the resonator. An interactive 3D spectrogram visualizes the resonator's activity over time and also provides direct control over the spectral filter.

The BLEASS Spectral Resonator also includes Freeze and Kill functions for holding or clearing the current resonance state.

This plugin aims to combine deep spectral processing with an easy-to-use interface, offering new possibilities for harmonic, rhythmic, and dynamic sound design, including non-harmonic or atonal material such as drums.
