Late Words is a letter to the future.
Gently seal up the current mood, the words you want to say but dare not say now, along with a photo. Wait until the day you set, and then open it by yourself - this is your own sense of ritual: not in a hurry, not rushing, not disturbing, just giving time back to you.
You can regard Late Words as:
· A letter to the future: Write to yourself a year later, to a certain anniversary, to the day when you return from a trip, so that the words can reach at the right time.
· Place your emotions well: Put away hesitation, courage, miss and blessings first, and read them again on that day, just like talking to your past self.
· Mark important moments: Birthdays, graduations, job entries, farewells and reunions - make "opening" itself a kind of ritual.
What can Late Words do for you:
· Seal and unlock: Set the unlocking time for the message; before the time arrives, let it wait quietly.
· Words and pictures: Support pure text or with pictures, leaving the picture and tone for the future together.
· Desktop and lock screen widgets: Put "the next upcoming message to be unlocked" in a place where you can see it at a glance (optional).
· Local reminder: You can receive a system local notification on the unlocking day, reminding you that "there is a letter to be opened today" (optional, can be turned off in the system settings).
Regarding the offline privacy you care most about:
· Completely offline: No account, no server, no cloud sync; your messages are only saved on the local device.
· You are in control of the data: Uninstalling the app will clear the local data; you can also clear it all at once in the app.
· Permission restraint: Pictures are selected through the system selector; saving to the album will only be written when you actively click after "unlocked".
We also want to be honest about the boundaries (to avoid disappointment):
· Migration is not supported for changing devices temporarily: Since there is no cloud sync in version 1.0, please save important content by yourself after unlocking (such as saving pictures, copying text). If migration is supported in the future, it will be subject to the version update notice.
Late Words doesn't decide what to say for you, but only guards time for you. Leave the words for the future and make the moment of opening it a small ritual in life.
