Retro FM is a minimalist and elegant app with a skeuomorphic style that offers white noise, aiming to help users achieve better sleep quality, focused flow, and a healthy lifestyle. By playing high-definition natural sounds, it allows you to concentrate, relax, or fall asleep quickly, leading to a healthier life and better sleep.

## What You Can Do with Retro FM

- Aid in falling asleep. Retro FM is your sleep companion. By playing sounds of nature like raindrops and forests, it helps you fall asleep easily. If you're a parent, the sounds of Retro FM can also help you lull your baby to sleep.

- Soothe and relax. Retro FM helps you relieve stress and enter a relaxed and peaceful state. The singing bowl sound in Retro Fm can quickly relax you during mindfulness practice or meditation.

- Enhance concentration. Retro FM can extend your attention span and improve work efficiency. The built-in timer function can be used as a Pomodoro timer, setting the white noise to stop automatically after a specific time.

- Immerse in learning. Use Retro FM to block out external distractions, enhance learning focus and immersion, and improve learning effects. Retro FM has a special sound of ice melting that can help you maintain a light and relaxed mood while studying.

- Block out noise. The white noise and natural sound effects provided by Retro FM help you create a quiet environment and block out surrounding noise.

## Design Concept

Every creation of Retro FM stems from our observation and thinking about real life. When designing Retro FM, we strive to simulate and restore the auditory, visual, and tactile experiences of the physical world.

Retro FM's initial inspiration came from my first mp3 player. It had only a few buttons and could hold only dozens of songs, but the real feedback and sense of ceremony when pressing the play button have stayed with me ever since. Even later, when smartphones could play an almost unlimited number of songs, I never regained that feeling.

Based on this inspiration, we completed the creation of the first skeuomorphic skin of Retro FM, "The Green Sea", which includes the five most classic white noises: rain, campfire, waves, summer, and forest. It also provides tactile feedback that simulates physical effects. When you gently touch the screen with your fingertips, you'll find the feeling of playing with a physical device.

After that, inspired by the "old-fashioned walkman", we created the second skeuomorphic skin of Retro FM, "Black Cassette". Can you still recall the era when you wore ripped jeans, hung the walkman on your waist, and listened to music with wired headphones? "Black Cassette" aims to bring you back to that memory.

I like music and science fiction movies. I've fantasized countless times about opening a magical door and traveling between different worlds. Based on this idea, we brought the third skin, "Golden Silk and White Stone", allowing you to admire and listen to another world through a golden window.
