Auftakt Studio turns the sounds of your everyday life into music. Record a cup, a door or your voice, play it on pads and build beats and whole songs from it, right on your iPhone. One screen, everything one tap away. On first launch, the app guides you to your first beat in two minutes.

RECORD

• Sample recorder up to 10 seconds: the app sets start, end and level for you
• iPhone microphone with direction, headset or USB interface
• TAP recording in time, metronome with count-in
• Sample editor with fades, reverse, pitch, length, filter and punch
• Library with folders, favorites and search; import from any app, via AirDrop or from the Files app

BUILD

• Timeline up to 128 bars with sections, grid down to 1/32 and triplets, groove with swing
• Seven time signatures from 4/4 to 7/8: waltz, 6/8 ballads, 12/8 blues
• Keys with e-piano, pad, organ, pluck, strings and lead, with chords and a wide keyboard
• “Roll chords” for verse, chorus and bridge
• Playboard: play your sounds live on big, glowing pads
• Tap tempo, cycle, undo and redo

MIX

• Channel EQ, pan and 3 effect slots per track: EQ, compressor, reverb, delay and limiter with live displays

• Loudness in LUFS, spectrum and correlation in the master

YOUR MUSIC IS YOURS

Songs and sounds are ordinary files in your iCloud Drive, with the exports right next to them. Export as M4A and MIDI, with Pro also as WAV and AIF, as true stems or as a seamless loop, for social media or for your DAW. Add artist, album and cover once, and they’re in every file. No AI that composes for you: you make the music.

AUFTAKT STUDIO PRO

• Mastering: create a mixdown, compare MIX and MASTER at the same spot, loudness for streaming, loud or club, sound modules (tone, punch, glue, saturation, width) and a limiter, each with its own window, write a master file and compare it with a reference song of your own, at equal loudness
