QuickTUI is the iPhone and iPad client for connecting to self-hosted servers. Launch Claude Code, Codex, or any long-running terminal task - then walk away. Sessions continue to run on the server and you can pick them up anytime to check the progress. Free for single server, direct connection by default - your code doesn't go through any third-party servers. This update adds a separate Chat mode for you to talk directly to the Agent; also brings Relay connection to pick up the server anytime, anywhere.

Chat with your Agent - brand new
Skip the terminal when you don't need it - send messages to your AI programming Agent like you chat. Each Agent session is aggregated in a list with an unread badge, so you can clearly see who's waiting for you at a glance. When the Agent stops to request confirmation, respond directly in the chat and it will continue running. Pin the sessions you care about, attach files, or switch to the editor to write longer content. Supports Claude, Codex, and opencode.

Pick up the server anytime, anywhere - brand new
The new Relay connection allows you to connect even when direct connection fails - behind NAT, in a restricted network, without a public IP, without port forwarding. The auto mode will first try direct connection and automatically fallback to Relay when it fails, just connect and you're good.

Stay connected all the time
Open the App and the session is already there - the output is complete and the cursor position remains unchanged. No need to reconnect, no need to flip through logs. Just pick it up and continue.

Intervene anytime, anywhere
The Agent encounters a prompt that requires confirmation. You're on the subway. Connect, confirm, disconnect - in 10 seconds, it continues running without you having to watch over it. Esc, Tab, Ctrl, arrow keys, and all custom shortcuts are accessible in one key.

Designed for the terminal
Fully customizable toolbar to keep your frequently used keys at hand. Arrow key overlay to say goodbye to cursor positioning problems. Searchable clipboard history. Free download and connect to one server - all features are fully available: terminal, chat, session, file browser, theme, shortcuts. Purchase QuickTUI Pro (one-time purchase) to unlock unlimited server profiles. The optional Relay connection belongs to QuickTUI Cloud and is a separate subscription. If you purchased before the App became free, you're already a Pro user - click Restore Purchase in the settings or payment page.

Themes, looking right
14 terminal color schemes to choose from - Catppuccin, Tokyo Night, Gruvbox, Solarized, Dracula, Nord, Rose Pine, GitHub, etc. Dark and light themes are set separately and automatically switch with the system. Font, size, line height, cursor style - all adjustable by you.

Set up in seconds
Run quicktui-server --qrcode on the server and scan the code with the App to connect. No need to copy the Token, no need to manually enter the IP address. Prefer step-by-step configuration? The built-in wizard will guide you through step by step.

Can also browse files
Need to check logs or fetch files? The built-in file browser is off by default and will only start listing server files after you actively enable it. On macOS, after enabling, QuickTUI server may also require Files & Folders or Full Disk Access authorization. QuickTUI doesn't collect or upload user data.

Your server, your data
Token-based authentication, stored in the iOS Keychain. Your code, keys, API quotas - all stay on your own machine. No need for an account, no telemetry. No third-party intervention when connecting directly - Relay is completely optional.

1. Install QuickTUI Server on your Mac, Linux, or WSL machine - one-line script, visit https://quicktui.ai
2. Scan the QR code or manually enter the server address and Token.
3. Connect. Your Agent is already there.
