Pict-o-view

Pict-o-view is a fast, lightweight photo and video viewer that respects your privacy. It only sees the folders you explicitly add — it never scans your disk, never touches your photo library, and never connects to the internet.

BROWSE YOUR WAY
Add any folder and browse it as a fast thumbnail grid. Folders with subfolders become a tree in the sidebar, and you can pool a whole tree into one view. Sort by name, date, or size. Search by filename. Star your favorite photos and folders and find them gathered in one place.

A VIEWER THAT KEEPS UP
Photos open instantly, and paging with the arrow keys is immediate — hold the key and fly through an entire shoot. Zoom with Control-scroll or the keyboard, pan with a drag, and single-click to hide every control for a completely clean view. A filmstrip, a slideshow with adjustable pace, and a full-screen lightbox are each one key away.

QUICK, NON-DESTRUCTIVE EDITS
Rotate and crop without ever modifying your original file. Edits are stored separately and applied on the fly — export an edited copy whenever you want one.

VIDEO TOO
Plays MOV, MP4, and M4V with scrubbing previews, adjustable playback speed, picture-in-picture, and optional autoplay to the next video.

AT HOME ON YOUR MAC
Set Pict-o-view as your default viewer through Finder's "Open With". Share via AirDrop, Messages, or Mail. Copy and paste files, drag them between folders, or drop them in from Finder. iCloud Drive files download only when you open them — browsing never pulls your whole library. Full keyboard control and VoiceOver support throughout.
