Baze Fleet & Rentals

Baze is the staff app for vehicle-rental businesses running on the Baze platform. It is a work tool, not a booking app: you need an account issued by the rental company you work for, and it does nothing without one.

PAPERWORK, WITHOUT THE DESK

Rental businesses run on paper somebody else posted them. Fines from the regulator, registration certificates from the road authority — each one has to be read, matched to a vehicle, and often to whoever was driving it that day. Done at a desk, that is an afternoon of typing.

Point the camera at the notice instead. About a second later it is read, filed, and linked to the rental that had the bike that day. Then shoot the next one. The camera never leaves the screen and there is nothing to submit at the end, because every photo is already resolved by the time you take the next.

WHAT IT DOES TODAY

• Fine notices — photograph or upload a penalty notice. The notice number, offence, date and amount are read, the plate is matched to your fleet, and the fine is linked to the rental that held that vehicle at the time of the offence.

• Registration papers — photograph or upload a certificate of registration. The plate and VIN are matched to the vehicle, the expiry is recorded, and the paper is stored against it. Interstate re-registrations are recognised rather than filed as a mismatch.

• Blurry is not saved. A photo the reader cannot trust imports nothing at all and tells you so on the spot, while the camera is still up and the paper is still in your hand.

• Poor signal is not lost work. Out of range, photos wait and send themselves when you are back. Nothing has to be re-shot.

BUILT FOR THE JOB, NOT THE DESK

Big targets, one-handed reach, minimal typing — for a workshop floor, a car park, a counter at handover. Your permissions are the ones you already have on the web console; the app is not a way around them.

MULTI-COMPANY BY DESIGN

One app, every business on the platform. You never pick a company from a list — signing in with your work email puts you in your employer's workspace and nowhere else. No other company on the platform is visible to you, or you to them.

More of the platform arrives in the app over time: team and customer messaging, customer onboarding and approval, rental search, vehicle lock and unlock, and workshop jobs.
