Proof of Life+ is a personal safety life alarm for people who want a backup plan if they unexpectedly go silent.

The app watches for everyday signs of activity and, if your inactivity window is reached, alerts the trusted contacts you choose. Alerts include your most recent location and your pre-written Rescue Note, so your contacts know where to start, who to call, and what to do next.

Proof of Life+ is built for real world situations where a person may not be able to call for help: a sudden medical event, an accident at home, travel trouble, a severe reaction, being stranded, or any urgent situation where time matters.

How It Works

Proof of Life+ quietly looks for signs that you are active, including:

Steps reported through Apple Health, with your permission
GPS movement and location based activity from your device

When the app sees normal activity, it resets your safety timer. If activity stops for roughly 24 hours, Proof of Life+ begins your planned outreach.

Your trusted contacts can receive an urgent safety notification with your last known location and Rescue Note. Your Rescue Note can include practical instructions such as who to call, where you were headed, medical facts, access information, travel plans, door or gate codes, or anything else you want your contacts to know in an emergency.

Proof of Life+ can help when silence may mean something is wrong:

Medical events: loss of consciousness, stroke, diabetic emergency, severe medication reaction, food poisoning, dehydration, overdose, or other situations where you may be unable to ask for help.

Your recipients do not need to install Proof of Life+ to receive an alert. They can receive an email notification and access the information you chose to share through a secure web page. If they prefer, they can also install the app.
