Model Communicator (MoCo) is a free, robust AAC app designed by Kara Cotter, MS CCC-SLP and Jim Tyler, MS. CTO.

- Robust vocabulary set with even mix of core and fringe vocabulary
- Topic-based organization includes specific nouns, verbs, and adjectives all within the same folders
- Consistent placement of core vocabulary throughout each topic folder to preserve motor planning

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
MoCo runs fully offline. No analytics, no tracking, and no account. The camera and microphone are used only by the editing tools, when you add a photo or record a sound for a tile, and that content stays on the iPad.

• Word endings column: no more invented words. Verbs offer their -ion nouns (act → action), days of the week have plurals, and words that are themselves a past tense show their verb family.
• Topics tiles no longer jump to Home. The bundled board matches the latest edits.
• Find Word: add a word the board doesn't have straight from search.
• Tile editor: link any page, including the Keyboard, and pick from more colors.
• 78 more picture symbols bundled.
• Select several tiles at once to hide, show, recolor or clear them.
• Backups are .moco files holding only your custom tiles.
• Settings → Display can turn off the word-endings column.
• Press-and-hold reminders on the gear and pencil are reworded.
