GetMyGPS

Ever needed to tell someone exactly where you are? GetMyGPS shows your current coordinates and an approximate street address on a map, and gets them to anyone in a couple of taps — as plain text, or as a map link that opens on any phone or computer, iPhone or not.

WHAT IT DOES
• Live coordinates with accuracy, altitude and heading, updated while you watch
• An approximate street address for the same spot
• Copy either one to the clipboard with a tap
• Share by message, email or any app, with a map link included
• Copy or share just the map link
• Open the spot in Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, Organic Maps or whichever maps app you have installed
• Press and hold the map to pin a different spot and share that instead
• Paste a map link or coordinates someone sent you, or open a geo: link, to see it on the map
• A Recent list of the spots you shared, on this device only
• A home screen widget with your last shared location — tap to copy it again
• Shortcuts actions: Get My Location, Get My Map Link, Get Last Shared Location
• Coordinates in decimal degrees, degrees-minutes-seconds, degrees-decimal-minutes, UTM or plus codes
• Map links for Google Maps, Apple Maps, OpenStreetMap or a plain geo: URI
• Short hints on first launch that get out of the way once you have the hang of it

WHO IT IS FOR
Meeting someone who doesn't have an iPhone. Telling a tow truck or a delivery where to find you. Marking the trailhead, the campsite or the parking spot. Sending a precise location to anyone who can open a link.

WHAT IT DOESN'T DO
There are no ads, no accounts and no tracking. Your location is shown on your device and leaves it only when you choose to copy or share it. Updates run while the app is open and stop when you leave.

GetMyGPS is free. If it saves you a phone call, there is an optional tip jar in Settings, and it changes nothing in the app.

Version 2.0 is a complete rewrite of the 2016 original for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
