Shutterbug: Photo Stacks

We all have “too many” photos. But it’s not our fault — it’s a design problem. The Camera app makes shooting weightless; the Photos app makes deleting heavy. So we mash the shutter, and our libraries fill with little filmstrips of similar shots that are a chore to clean up.

Shutterbug is the photo app made for the way we really shoot. It expects lots of similar shots, and is designed so they don't make a mess.

STACKS
Shutterbug figures out when you've taken a bunch of photos of the same thing, and it organizes them for you into neat little stacks, so your library stays tidy without any work.

SIFT FOR KEEPERS AS YOU BROWSE
Shutterbug makes comparing shots a fun, lightweight part of browsing, without the need for a separate Compare screen. It's built for blink comparison: edge taps flip between similar shots with zero animation, so you can spot the differences; thumbnails stay put, so you can jump between images by finger memory; and you can even flip between shots while zoomed to compare specific details.

EMPTY THE TRASH
Trash or untrash photos freely as you browse, then empty the trash to remove them all at once. Trashing photos is completely safe: nothing is ever deleted until you tap Empty Trash, and even then you can recover deleted photos for 30 days from Recently Deleted in the Photos app.

STACK IT YOUR WAY
Chunk your grid into days, weeks, months, or years, and Shutterbug stacks similar shots within each one, so you can get a single stack for a whole year of airplane window photos. You can also choose how similar you want stacks to be: kinda similar, reasonably similar, or quite similar.

TOTALLY PRIVATE
Nothing is collected or tracked. All processing happens on your device. No one sees your photos but you.
