IINA Media Player

IINA Media Player plays everything: the MKV your Mac's built-in player refuses, the IPTV stream in your M3U8 playlist, the film sitting on your NAS. It runs on the custom engine and is designed for the Mac, with the features that were always missing.


Your language and theirs, on screen together. Every film becomes a language lesson, something almost no Mac player gets right.

Sharing:
SMB, UPnP and mDNS shares find themselves and appear in the sidebar. No mounting, no IP addresses, no detour through Finder. Add servers by hand too: SMB, FTP, SFTP, NFS, AFP and WebDAV (dav and davs).

Streaming:
Paste an M3U8, HLS, DASH, RTSP, RTP or UDP link and it plays. HTTP and HTTPS, UDP multicast, MMS, RIST and SAT-IP are covered as well. Load an M3U, PLS or XSPF playlist for IPTV. Bring your own playlist; no channels are included.

Cast to TV:
Send the movie to Chromecast and other cast devices, discovered automatically, or to AirPlay displays through the system picker. Hand off the current track, then pull it back mid-scene.

A to B Loop:
Nail the guitar riff, the dance step, the line you can't quite hear. Markers land right on the progress bar.

Best Equalizer:
60 Hz to 16 kHz, six presets and a separate preamp. A compressor flattens loud-quiet mixes for late-night watching.

Subtitles:
Sync in 50 ms steps with two keys. SRT, ASS, SSA, VTT, SUB and IDX, plus the encodings other players mangle: Windows-1250, ISO-8859-2 and more. Multiple audio tracks switch just as easily.

Convert:
Turn any file into H.264 or HEVC with hardware encoding and AAC audio, saved as MP4 or TS. Or go live: stream over HTTP (port 8080, TS), RTSP (port 8554) or UDP multicast, with an address that copies in one click.
