DitherCam is a camera app. It redraws the live feed frame by frame, cell by cell, with the algorithms of halftone printing and 1-bit graphics, and saves what you see as a photo or a video. No waiting, no progress bar, no export step: what you frame is what you get.

WHAT YOU GET
• 26 algorithms — halftone, ordered Bayer dithering, Floyd–Steinberg, Voronoi, hexagonal mosaic and more
• 37 cell shapes — circles, squares, crosses, ASCII characters, a page of code, your own text
• 19 colour palettes, plus the ones you build yourself
• 41 ready-made presets: one tap and the look is there
• 4 post effects — chromatic aberration, bloom, CRT, VHS
• Aura: coloured rings tracing the subject's outline

PHOTO AND VIDEO
Shoot up to 2160px, or record up to 60 seconds with the effect already baked in. You can also start from a photo or a clip already in your library — press and hold on the image to compare before and after.

SHARE THE SETTINGS, NOT THE PICTURES
A look you like becomes a short code — or a QR code — that carries numbers only: grid size, shape, colours, contrast. You send it however you like, the other person pastes it into their app and gets exactly your look. There is no feed, no profile, no server: nothing is published, and no image ever travels with the code.

WHAT THE APP DOES WITH YOUR DATA
Nothing leaves your iPhone. No account, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics, no third-party SDK, no tracking: there is nothing to collect, and nothing is collected. Every effect is computed on the device, and the whole app works in Airplane Mode.
• Camera: used only to draw the live viewfinder. Frames stay in memory and are never written anywhere unless you take a photo or start recording.
• Photo library: read only when you pick a photo or a clip to edit, written only when you save.
• Stats and achievements count what you have done on this iPhone, and those counters stay on this iPhone.
• iCloud sync is on by default and can be turned off in the menu. It carries your palettes, custom effects, favourites, theme and language between your own devices, inside your own private iCloud. Photos and videos are never uploaded.

No subscription and no in-app purchases: the app is complete as it is.
