Bonsai: Grow by Resting

Bonsai is a quiet habit companion built around one simple idea: your tree grows when you put the phone down.

Plant a seed, step away, and return later to see the tree change. Bonsai turns time away from the app into gentle growth, daily progress, milestones, and a grove of trees you can keep over time.

Version 1.3 adds Rest Coach, a private planning dashboard that helps you understand your own rest rhythm without an account, subscription, or cloud service.

REST COACH
- See a weekly rhythm score based on progress, consistency, and recent pattern.
- Review a two-week bar chart that compares the previous week with the current one.
- Get a simple next-session suggestion, such as a 30-minute phone-down break.
- Follow a three-step plan that favors consistent low-friction sessions over streak pressure.

GROW WHILE AWAY
- Time between app opens becomes rest credit for your tree.
- Growth is gently capped so one long absence does not skip the whole tree.
- Daily goal progress makes your current habit visible at a glance.

TREE, GROVE, AND MILESTONES
- Every tree is generated from its own seed, so each one has a distinct shape.
- Retire mature trees into your grove and start fresh whenever you like.
- Unlock milestones as your tree reaches new stages.
- Switch seasonal looks and pot styles for a calmer visual feel.

REST SESSION MODE
- Start an ambient soundscape, set the phone down, and let the session run.
- Choose silence, wind, rain, ocean, or forest sounds.
- Sound is synthesized on device.

HISTORY AND EXPORT
- Review recent rest history and progress charts.
- Export a generated tree image for your own wallpaper or sharing.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Bonsai does not require an account. It does not collect analytics, track you, use advertising SDKs, read your Screen Time data, or send rest history to a developer server. Tree state, goals, milestones, and history stay on device.

Bonsai is a habit and focus companion, not a medical or therapeutic app.
