Japan TAX calculator (VAT)

“Japan Consumption Tax Calc” calculates Japanese consumption tax and other amounts from Base Price or Tax-Included Price.

(How to Use)
• Enter a value using the keyboard and tap the \"=\" key to calculate.
• "10% Tax" means" 10% Consumption Tax.
• The entered value can be used as either the Base price or the Tax-included price. The value will be applied to the field with the bold border. You can change fields by tapping them to move the bold border.
• Tap and hold the "Select Tax Rate” key to switch between different tax rate combinations. There are three available combinations: 8% & 10%, 1% & 10%, and 1% & 8%.
• You can recall previous input values using the "＜ Prev" and "Next ＞" keys.

(About Calculations)
• For consumption tax calculations on this calculator, any fractions of a yen less than 1 yen are rounded down.
• If the entered value is a tax-included price and its tax amount requires rounding up, both the rounded-up tax amount and the tax-included price will be displayed in blue text. (For example, when a 10% tax-included price is 1,000 yen.)
• Any fractions less than 1 yen in the calculated input values are rounded down before use.
