There's nothing to sign up for. Tween has no backend at all — your location never touches a server we run, because we don't run one. Your friends, plans, and history stay on your device, and where you are travels only inside the iMessage conversations you choose. Place searches and travel times go to Apple Maps, the same as they would in Maps itself.

Location is requested only while you're using the app, never in the background.
